How we list doctors
How a doctor or clinic gets into the directory, how we check it, and how it is shown.
What we list
Doctors and clinics that offer focal therapy for prostate cancer with irreversible electroporation (IRE), including the NanoKnife System and other IRE devices. We list a doctor only when a public source says they perform IRE on the prostate; IRE of the liver or pancreas does not count.
One exception is clearly labelled: a few interventional radiologists who use IRE for other organs and treat enlarged prostate (BPH) with prostate artery embolization (PAE). Their pages say so, and they are not counted as prostate cancer listings.
Sources
- Device manufacturers' physician locators.
- Clinical-trial registries (ClinicalTrials.gov, ANZCTR).
- Hospital and clinic announcements and the clinic's own web pages.
- Posts by device manufacturers and distributors naming a doctor for a prostate case.
- Doctor directories and patient-organisation lists, used to find candidates, which we then check against one of the sources above.
Every listing shows its source and the date we last checked it.
Verified and "being confirmed"
Source-verified means a manufacturer locator, a trial registry, a hospital announcement, the clinic's own page or the manufacturer or distributor names that doctor for prostate IRE. Details being confirmed means the source is older, third-party, or doesn't name the organ or the doctor; those listings stay visible so patients can ask, and we keep checking them. Verified by practice means the practice confirmed its own details.
Phone numbers and websites
Taken only from the clinic, the manufacturer locator, a trial registry or an official directory. We never guess a number; a missing one shows as "Phone being confirmed".
Order and sponsored listings
Search results are ordered by distance from the place you search, or grouped by state and country. Listing is free. Some clinics pay to be featured: a featured clinic appears in a highlighted box marked "Featured · Sponsored" and its links are marked as sponsored for search engines. Payment never adds a doctor to the directory or changes the details we show.
Updates and corrections
We search for new doctors and re-check sources every week. Clinics can confirm or correct their listing at any time through the clinic contact form; we check corrections against a public source before changing a listing.
